Stress is a response to any physical, emotional or intellectual needs. It is a major contributing factor either directly or indirectly, to coronary artery disease, cancer, respiratory disorders, accidental injuries, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. Although stress is unavoidable, we can still manage it properly.
Stress management includes a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and time for relaxation. Symptoms of stress are through behavioral or physical means. These include impatience, lack of excitement, sleeping problems and exhaustion. The physical symptoms of stress which is common are muscle tensions, headaches, low back pain and more.
The manifestation of the symptoms may be psychological. People may feel irritable, frustrated and angry most of the time. And some people who have a chronic sickness usually find the symptoms of their illness flare up into complex stress
Healthy Lifestyle
Stress management should be an individual’s main concern for a healthy lifestyle. Effective stress management is a lifestyle that we must learn to incorporate into our daily lives. Stress management is not only a need in todays fast-paced lifestyle, but an important factor for physical and mental health. In alternative way, Stress is more than the result of ones lifestyle, decreasing the factors that cause stress or gaining healthful insight on how to relieve stress the right way might be the best thing for a person to do for themselves.
Stress Nutrition
Stress may result to unbalanced and improper nutrition. This is because of the excessive use of socially acceptable intoxicants; drugs and vaccinations; environmental toxins; negative emotions; lack of physical exercise; genetic factors; and improper body alignment. Stress nutrition is typically designed to meet individual biochemical needs by giving them the right amount of nutrient in order to balance any other nutrient.
Exercises and Sports
Learning simple breathing exercises can help activate the relaxation response. Other people rely on exercise by joining some of their favorite sports. By joining them, it can increase the work fun level and might as well decrease the tension. Exercises such as golf, tennis, biking and other sports are effective way to help people relax in order to alleviate the stress in them.
